The title of the leader of Din Djarin’s Mandalorian covert is The Armorer. She leads the hidden Mandalorian tribe on Nevarro, including Din, and serves as both its spiritual guide and master armorer.
The Armorer forges, repairs, and distributes beskar armor, while also interpreting the clan’s strict traditions. She teaches Din about foundlings, signets, the covert’s creed, and the importance of protecting Mandalorian culture after the Empire’s persecution and the Great Purge.
A common mix-up is confusing her with Bo-Katan Kryze, a prominent Mandalorian leader who later seeks to reunite Mandalore, or with Paz Vizsla, a powerful warrior within the covert. The Armorer’s authority is religious and communal as well as political; she is not simply the clan’s blacksmith.
She is also the first character in the series to popularize the phrase “This is the Way,” the Children of the Watch’s guiding creed. Her red armor and horned helmet make her one of the show’s most recognizable figures.
