Jennifer Walters debuted in The Savage She-Hulk #1 in November 1979, created by writer Stan Lee and artist John Buscema. In the origin story, criminals seriously injure Walters, and Banner’s gamma-irradiated blood saves her life. The transfusion triggers her transformation into She-Hulk, giving her superhuman strength, durability, stamina, and a healing factor.
