Walmart’s subscription service for free shipping and other perks is Walmart+.
Launched in 2020, Walmart+ is Walmart’s paid membership program. Its benefits have included free shipping on eligible online orders without an order minimum, free same-day grocery and prescription delivery in participating areas, fuel discounts, and mobile checkout features such as Scan & Go at eligible stores.
The service is Walmart’s answer to membership programs such as Amazon Prime, but it is not the same as Sam’s Club membership. Walmart+ is tied to Walmart stores and Walmart.com, while Sam’s Club membership centers on the separate warehouse-club business. Target Circle is also a Walmart competitor’s loyalty program rather than a Walmart subscription.
Benefits and pricing can change as Walmart adds partners and adjusts the package. Recent offerings have expanded into areas such as streaming choices, travel-related rewards, cash back, and other member promotions, so shoppers should check Walmart’s current terms before joining.
