Mike Duke was CEO of Walmart from 2009 to 2014. He became the company’s fourth chief executive in February 2009, succeeding Lee Scott.

Duke joined Walmart in 1995 and first led the retailer’s international operations. His experience outside the United States helped Walmart expand its global strategy during his tenure. He was succeeded by Doug McMillon, who took over as CEO on February 1, 2014.
