Tom Bombadil’s wife in J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings is Goldberry.
Goldberry appears in the Old Forest episodes of The Fellowship of the Ring. She is introduced as the River-woman’s daughter and lives with Tom Bombadil in his house, where the hobbits stay after Bombadil rescues them.
Her identity is intentionally mysterious. Tolkien gives her a strong association with water, seasonal change, and natural beauty, but does not provide a complete explanation of her origins or nature.
Goldberry is sometimes confused with major elven characters such as Galadriel or Arwen. Unlike those characters, she is not part of the central quest and appears only in the early portion of The Fellowship of the Ring.
