Eivor is the protagonist and founder of the Viking settlement in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
Eivor Varinsdottir leads a Norse clan from Norway to England during the ninth century. The settlement at Ravensthorpe becomes the player's base, and its buildings can be expanded as Eivor's alliance network grows. The campaign follows Eivor's conflicts with rival rulers, the Order of the Ancients, and forces connected to the wider Assassin-Templar mythology.
Players can choose Eivor's presentation as male or female, but the character's name remains Eivor. The Animus framing explains this choice and also connects Eivor to the Isu figure Odin. Sigurd is Eivor's adoptive brother, while Basim is a separate major character.
Valhalla was released in 2020. Its main English setting is Anglo-Saxon England, although the game also includes sections in Norway and other locations. The settlement is Ravensthorpe, not a city inherited from an earlier Assassin's Creed game.
