What is the name of the US television adaptation of Dragon's Den?

The US television adaptation of Dragon's Den is called Shark Tank.

Shark Tank premiered on ABC in the United States in August 2009. It uses the same basic format as Dragon's Den: entrepreneurs present businesses to a panel of wealthy investors and seek money in exchange for an ownership stake. The US programme was based on the international format created by the Japanese television series Money Tigers, which also inspired Dragon's Den.

The investors are called “sharks” rather than “dragons,” giving the American edition its title and branding. Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Kevin O'Leary, Daymond John, Robert Herjavec and Lori Greiner became among the best-known regular investors. Shark Tank is often confused with The Apprentice or The Profit, but those programmes use different business formats and are not adaptations of Dragon's Den.
