What is the name of the unusual Snorlax in Pokémon Pokopia?

The unusual Snorlax in Pokémon Pokopia is called Mosslax. It has moss growing over its body and a flower blooming on top of its head.

Mosslax is one of the peculiar-looking Pokémon introduced in promotional information for the game. Its design suggests that it has been asleep for a very long time, allowing plant life to spread across its normally recognizable Snorlax form.

The name is easy to mix up with ordinary Snorlax because Mosslax remains clearly based on that species. However, Mosslax is the specific name used for this distinctive Pokopia character, just as other unusual residents have their own names and visual identities.

Pokopia’s altered Pokémon designs reinforce the game’s setting. The world has been abandoned and overgrown, so several Pokémon appear adapted to the environment. Mosslax is therefore more than a cosmetic variation: its appearance helps communicate the long passage of time and the game’s overgrown atmosphere.
