What is the name of the Tangrowth who helps investigate the world in Pokémon Pokopia?

The Tangrowth who helps investigate the world in Pokémon Pokopia is called Professor Tangrowth.

After Ditto assumes a human-like form, it encounters a Tangrowth who has taken responsibility for studying the ruined environment. Known as Professor Tangrowth, this character is investigating why humans and Pokémon left and why the landscape became unsuitable for life.

Professor Tangrowth gives the adventure an investigative layer alongside its crafting and construction systems. Ditto and Professor Tangrowth examine the abandoned world, restore habitats, and follow clues left behind by humanity. Their work gradually reveals that people departed for outer space after unexplained phenomena made the land increasingly hostile.

The name is easy to mix up with Professor Oak, the famous Pokémon researcher associated with Kanto. Professor Oak is not the researcher in Pokopia’s story. Professor Tangrowth is a species-based title created specifically for this game’s post-apocalyptic setting.
