Reepicheep is the talking mouse who becomes a knight in C.S. Lewis’s Narnia books. He is a courageous, outspoken character whose small size contrasts with his strong sense of honor.
Reepicheep appears most prominently in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, where he joins King Caspian’s voyage eastward. His personal goal is to reach Aslan’s country, and his determination shapes the expedition’s emotional and spiritual direction.
He also appears in Prince Caspian and The Last Battle. Readers sometimes confuse him with other Narnian companions, especially Puddleglum, but Puddleglum is a Marsh-wiggle from The Silver Chair, not a mouse. Reepicheep’s distinctive weapon is a rapier, fitting his identity as a swashbuckling knight.
