What is the name of the spin-off series that premiered in 2015?

The spin-off series that premiered in 2015 was Fear the Walking Dead. It debuted on AMC on August 23, 2015, as a companion series to The Walking Dead.

Rather than beginning with Rick Grimes, Fear the Walking Dead follows a different group during the earliest days of the zombie outbreak. Its initial story centers on Madison Clark, her fiancé Travis Manawa, their children, and the Salazar family as Los Angeles begins to collapse. This makes the show partly a prequel to The Walking Dead, especially in its first three seasons.

A common mix-up is confusing the series with later franchise spin-offs. The Walking Dead: World Beyond premiered in 2020, while Tales of the Walking Dead arrived in 2022 and Dead City in 2023. Fear the Walking Dead also eventually connected more directly to the original series: Morgan Jones crossed over in season 4, and Dwight later joined the cast. The series concluded in 2023 after eight seasons.
