What is the name of the ship built for Freyr?

The story behind the answer

What is the name of the ship built for Freyr? The ship built for Freyr is Skíðblaðnir, the finest and most magically capable vessel in Norse mythology.

The Poetic Edda and Prose Edda describe Skíðblaðnir as a gift made by the Sons of Ívaldi, a group of dwarfs renowned for extraordinary craftsmanship. It is large enough to carry all the gods with their weapons and war gear, yet its design is magically flexible: when it is not needed, it can be folded up like cloth and stored in a pouch.

The ship also has a remarkable sailing gift. Whenever its sail is raised, it finds a favorable wind and can travel wherever it needs to go. These features make it more than a royal vessel; Skíðblaðnir represents the combination of dwarven engineering and supernatural convenience that appears throughout Norse myth.

A common mix-up is Naglfar, the ship associated with Ragnarök. Naglfar is a different vessel, while Hringhorni belongs to Baldr and serves as his funeral ship. In the main mythological tradition, Skíðblaðnir belongs to Freyr.
