The organization gives Origins a historical predecessor to the Templar Order seen in later periods of the series.

Other games use different names for related or rival factions. Assassin's Creed Odyssey features the Cult of Kosmos, and Assassin's Creed Valhalla features the Order of the Ancients in ninth-century England.
