The Hidden Blade is the secret Assassin weapon used by Bayek in Assassin's Creed Origins.
Bayek uses the Hidden Blade as a concealed wrist-mounted weapon during his investigations in ancient Egypt. The device allows a close-range assassination while preserving the series' characteristic emphasis on stealth and silent attacks.
Origins presents an early stage in the history of the weapon and the Assassin tradition. The game is set before the organization is known as the Assassin Brotherhood; Bayek and Aya establish the Hidden Ones, whose methods and symbols develop into the later Assassin tradition.
The weapon is sometimes confused with later franchise variants. Assassin's Creed Unity features the Phantom Blade, which combines a concealed blade with a ranged mechanism. Assassin's Creed Syndicate adds a rope launcher, but not a replacement name for the classic wrist weapon. In Origins, the canonical term remains Hidden Blade.
