What is the name of the race car rival Lightning McQueen faces in Cars 3?

Jackson Storm is the race car rival Lightning McQueen faces in Pixar's Cars 3.

Storm represents a new generation of high-performance racers. He is a sleek, dark-colored next-generation racer whose speed and data-driven training expose the limits of Lightning's older approach to competition. Their rivalry begins when Storm repeatedly defeats established racers on the Piston Cup circuit.

Lightning's effort to compete with Storm leads to a training partnership with Cruz Ramirez. The story eventually changes direction when Cruz takes the racing opportunity at the Florida 500, while Lightning becomes her mentor.

Chick Hicks is a frequent mix-up because he is another notable Piston Cup rival from Cars. Cal Weathers and Bobby Swift are racers in the wider racing world, but neither serves as Cars 3's principal antagonist in the way Jackson Storm does.
