Eivor is the protagonist controlled in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
Eivor is a Viking raider who leaves Norway and leads a settlement in ninth-century England. The player can choose a masculine or feminine presentation for Eivor, while the character's name remains Eivor Varinsdottir. This design is why the game generally refers to the protagonist by name rather than using only one gendered form.
Valhalla's story follows Eivor's alliances across Anglo-Saxon England. The game features four major English kingdoms—Wessex, Mercia, Northumbria, and East Anglia—as well as Norway and other regions. Eivor also becomes connected to the Hidden Ones, the predecessor organization of the later Assassin Brotherhood.
Kassandra belongs to Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Bayek to Assassin's Creed Origins, and Arno Dorian to Assassin's Creed Unity. Eivor is the Viking-era lead specific to Valhalla.
