Mosslax is the Pokémon Pokopia special character based on Snorlax.
Mosslax is described as a Snorlax that slept for so long that moss and other plants grew over its body. The name combines the character’s overgrown appearance with the familiar Snorlax name.
This design fits Pokopia’s post-apocalyptic setting, where nature has reclaimed places after humans departed. It also turns a well-known Pokémon trait—Snorlax’s tendency to sleep—into a distinctive story and visual identity.
Mosslax is not a new evolutionary stage of Snorlax and should not be confused with Munchlax, Snorlax’s established pre-evolution. It is a named special character within Pokopia’s story. The game uses several similar variations, including Peakychu, Smearguru, Chef Dente, DJ Rotom, and Tinkmaster, each giving a familiar Pokémon a new personal role.
