What is the name of the Pokémon guide who helps Ditto in Pokémon Pokopia?

Professor Tangrowth is the Pokémon guide who helps Ditto in Pokémon Pokopia.

This Tangrowth has taken on the role of a researcher. After Ditto encounters him, Professor Tangrowth explains the damaged environment and works to understand why humans and Pokémon disappeared from the region.

The character helps frame the game’s restoration mission. Ditto is asked to rebuild habitats so Pokémon can return and thrive, turning exploration and construction into part of the story rather than optional decoration.

Professor Tangrowth should not be confused with Professor Oak, the famous human researcher from the original Kanto games. Pokopia’s guide is a Tangrowth, a Pokémon, and his title reflects the game’s broader premise in which Pokémon manage their own world after humanity’s departure.
