What is the name of the poison that Indiana Jones is forced to drink in "Temple of Doom"?

The story behind the answer

In "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," Indiana Jones is forced to drink the Blood of Kali. The potion is used by Mola Ram and the Thuggee cult to place victims under the supernatural control known as the Black Sleep of Kali.

The sequence begins earlier at Club Obi Wan in Shanghai, where gangster Lao Che gives Indy a poisoned drink during a confrontation over the ashes of Nurhaci. That poison is a separate plot device: Lao Che possesses the antidote and tries to use it as leverage. Later, after Indy reaches Pankot Palace, Mola Ram forces him to drink the Blood of Kali as part of the Thuggee ritual.

The film presents the Blood of Kali as a magical potion rather than a scientifically identified chemical poison. Short Round eventually breaks Indy's control by burning him with a torch, causing the potion's influence to disappear. The phrase is sometimes rendered as "Blood of Kali Ma," but "Blood of Kali" is the canonical answer used for the film's mind-control substance.
