The photo mode introduced in Gran Turismo Sport is called Scapes.
Scapes lets players place selected Gran Turismo cars into photographs of real-world locations, combining rendered vehicles with carefully captured background scenes. Players can adjust camera position, focus, exposure, color, and other photographic settings to create polished images.
The feature reflects Gran Turismo Sport’s stronger emphasis on presentation, customization, and sharing. It appeared alongside tools such as the livery editor, allowing players to show off both their car designs and driving machines outside a race.
A common mix-up is Photo Travel, the name of a photography feature associated with earlier Gran Turismo games. Replay Mode is for reviewing races, while Race Photo is not the official name of Gran Turismo Sport’s new location-based photography system.
