What is the name of the Martian plain where China's Zhurong rover landed?

The story behind the answer

China's Zhurong rover landed on the Martian plain called Utopia Planitia. The broad plain lies in Mars's northern lowlands and is part of one of the largest impact basins known in the Solar System.

Zhurong arrived there as part of China's Tianwen-1 mission. The lander and rover touched down on May 14, 2021, and Zhurong drove off its landing platform on May 22. China had selected Utopia Planitia because the region was comparatively suitable for landing and offered scientific clues about Mars's ancient environment.

Utopia Planitia is sometimes confused with Chryse Planitia, where Viking 1 landed, or Elysium Planitia, where NASA's InSight lander touched down. Amazonis Planitia was also considered during the Tianwen-1 landing-site selection process, but Utopia Planitia was ultimately chosen. Zhurong's measurements supported investigations into the plain's geology, subsurface structure, and possible ancient water-related history.
