What is the name of the Manchester-based television and media complex where Dragon's Den has been filmed?

The story behind the answer

MediaCityUK is the Manchester-based television and media complex where Dragon's Den has been filmed.

MediaCityUK is a large mixed-use development at Salford Quays in Greater Manchester. It contains television studios, offices, production facilities and educational institutions, and became an important centre for British broadcasting after opening in stages from 2011.

The BBC relocated significant parts of its northern operation there, helping make the site a prominent production location. Dragon's Den has used studios at MediaCityUK, linking the programme with Salford's wider broadcasting community rather than with a traditional London film studio.

The Lowry is nearby and is a separate arts venue, which makes it an easy local mix-up. MediaCityUK is the development and media hub; it is not simply another name for The Lowry or for Manchester's city-centre television facilities.
