Jacob Frye is the male twin protagonist in Assassin's Creed Syndicate.
Jacob and his twin sister Evie are Assassins who travel to London in 1868. Jacob is more impulsive and confrontational, while Evie is especially focused on investigation, stealth, and locating an important Piece of Eden. The game lets players switch between the siblings during much of the campaign, although some missions are assigned to a specific character.
The wording “male twin” distinguishes Jacob from Evie, who is the female twin and another major playable protagonist. Syndicate is unusual in the main series because its central story is built around two siblings rather than one lead character.
The game is set during the Industrial Revolution and depicts London districts including Westminster, the City of London, and Whitechapel. Jacob also creates the Rooks, a street gang that supports the Assassins in their struggle against the Templars and their allies.
