Nadia is the name of the human baby’s mother in Ice Age.
At the beginning of the film, Nadia and her baby, Roshan, flee from a group of saber-toothed tigers. Nadia reaches a waterfall while carrying Roshan and encounters Manny and Sid. Before she disappears, she entrusts the baby to them, beginning their journey to return him to his human family.
Roshan is one of the film’s central characters even though he does not speak. His presence gives Manny, Sid, and Diego a shared goal and gradually changes the group from an accidental alliance into a protective family-like team.
Nadia is sometimes confused with Roshan because both characters are introduced in the same opening sequence. Roshan is the baby’s name; Nadia is his mother, who is credited as a human character in the film.
