What is the name of the maharaja's palace in Temple of Doom?

The story behind the answer

The maharaja’s palace in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is called Pankot Palace.

Indy, Willie Scott, and Short Round reach Pankot Palace after escaping Shanghai and surviving a perilous journey through the Himalayas. They are welcomed by the young Maharaja Zalim Singh and Prime Minister Chattar Lal, attending an elaborate banquet before Indy begins to suspect that the palace conceals a much darker secret.

Beneath Pankot Palace lies a temple and a network of mine tunnels controlled by the Thuggee cult. The cult has brainwashed the maharaja, kidnapped children from the nearby village of Mayapore, and forced them to search for the remaining Sankara Stones. Indy eventually breaks free of a trance, rescues Willie, and confronts the cult’s leader, Mola Ram.

Pankot is fictional, although the film presents it as an Indian princely state during the British Raj. Because the Indiana Jones films visit many memorable locations, it is easy to confuse Pankot Palace with Tanis, the Egyptian city connected to the Ark of the Covenant, or Brunwald Castle from The Last Crusade.
