What is the name of the lone Tangrowth who helps Ditto in Pokémon Pokopia?

The lone Tangrowth who helps Ditto in Pokémon Pokopia is called Professor Tangrowth.

When Ditto awakens in the Withered Wasteland, Professor Tangrowth is described as the only remaining resident there. He lives alone in the desolate environment and helps introduce Ditto to the mystery of the vanished humans and Pokémon.

Professor Tangrowth is a character title rather than a new species. The character is still a Tangrowth, but the professor name reflects his role as an observer and investigator of the ruined world. As Ditto restores habitats and attracts more Pokémon, Professor Tangrowth becomes an important guide and companion. Players can therefore distinguish him from ordinary Tangrowth by his named role in the story.
