Jacob and Evie Frye found the Rooks in Assassin's Creed Syndicate.
The Rooks are a gang that the Frye twins organize in Victorian London. Their purpose is to challenge the Blighters, a rival gang controlled by the Templar Grand Master Crawford Starrick. By recruiting members and capturing districts, the player expands Assassin influence across the city.
Jacob and Evie approach the conflict differently. Jacob focuses more on direct gang warfare and building a criminal network, while Evie concentrates on stealth, investigation, and the search for Pieces of Eden. Their shared campaign takes place in London in 1868, during the Industrial Revolution.
The Rooks are not simply another name for the Assassin Brotherhood. They are a local gang allied with the Assassins and operating under the twins' leadership. The Blighters are their principal street-level rivals, making the two names a frequent source of confusion.
