What is the name of the Italian racing car who competes against Lightning McQueen in Cars 2?

Francesco Bernoulli is the Italian racing car who competes against Lightning McQueen in Cars 2.

Francesco is a Formula One-inspired open-wheel racer and one of the headline competitors in the World Grand Prix. He is designed as a confident, boastful champion who sees himself as Lightning McQueen's principal rival during the international competition.

The character is voiced by John Turturro in the English version. His bright red design, open wheels, and Italian identity distinguish him from Lightning, whose appearance is based more closely on American stock-car racing.

Cars 2 also includes Miguel Camino from Spain and Raoul ÇaRoule from France among its international racers. Those characters are sometimes mixed up with Francesco, but Francesco is specifically the Italian competitor and the most prominent racing rival in the film.
