Isla Sorna is the island where InGen breeds dinosaurs in The Lost World: Jurassic Park.
The 1997 sequel reveals that Isla Sorna, also called Site B, was used as a production facility before the animals were transferred to Jurassic Park on Isla Nublar. After a hurricane and the collapse of InGen’s operations, the dinosaurs live freely on the island.
Ian Malcolm leads an expedition there to document the animals, while Sarah Harding studies their behavior. The island setting allows the sequel to show a broader ecosystem, including herds of herbivores and predators living outside an enclosed theme park.
Isla Sorna and Isla Nublar are separate fictional islands in the franchise. Nublar is the site of the original Jurassic Park, while Sorna is central to The Lost World and later appears in Jurassic Park III and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
