What is the name of the Horde's primary capital city?
Answer
Orgrimmar
Answer
Orgrimmar
The Horde's primary capital city is Orgrimmar. Built in the harsh land of Durotar, it is the political and military center of the Horde and the traditional capital of the orcs.
Orgrimmar was founded after the orcs arrived in Kalimdor under Thrall's leadership. It was named for Orgrim Doomhammer, a former Warchief whose legacy strongly influenced the city's identity. Its architecture, including heavy iron gates, fortified walls, and spiked towers, reflects the orcs' warrior culture and the city's need for defense.
The Horde has other major faction capitals, including Thunder Bluff for the tauren, the Undercity for the Forsaken, and Silvermoon City for the blood elves. These can cause confusion, but Orgrimmar is the Horde's primary shared hub. In modern World of Warcraft, it remains the central Horde city for leaders, quests, portals, profession trainers, and player gatherings.
