The Hookblade is the hook-equipped weapon introduced in Assassin's Creed Revelations.
Ezio Auditore obtains the Hookblade during his journey in Constantinople, the game's principal setting. It combines a conventional blade with a hooked extension, allowing him to catch ledges, swing across gaps, climb more quickly, and pull certain enemies closer.
The weapon expands movement through the city's dense rooftops and helps distinguish Revelations from earlier Ezio games. It is used alongside, rather than as a replacement for, the Hidden Blades and other equipment in Ezio's arsenal.
The Hookblade is sometimes confused with the Rope Dart from Assassin's Creed III or the Phantom Blade from Assassin's Creed Unity. Those weapons belong to different games and have different designs. The Hookblade is specifically associated with Revelations and Constantinople's vertical urban environment.
