What is the name of the Hidden One protagonist in Assassin's Creed Mirage?

Basim Ibn Ishaq is the Hidden One protagonist of Assassin's Creed Mirage.

Released in 2023, Mirage follows Basim in ninth-century Baghdad, where he joins the Hidden Ones and develops from a street thief into a trained Assassin. The game is structured around investigations, stealth, parkour, and targeted eliminations in and around the Abbasid capital.

Mirage is a prequel to Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Basim first appeared there as an important supporting character, so Mirage gives his earlier life and training a much larger role. Baghdad's setting is tied to the Abbasid Caliphate, one of the major centers of learning, trade, and political power in the medieval Islamic world. The title deliberately emphasizes classic series mechanics more than the large role-playing systems of recent entries. Basim should not be confused with Altaïr or Bayek, who are separate protagonists from earlier historical periods.
