What is the name of the heroine in Assassin's Creed III: Liberation?

The story behind the answer

Aveline de Grandpré is the heroine of Assassin's Creed III: Liberation.

Aveline is a Louisiana-based Assassin of mixed French and African heritage. The game follows her activities in New Orleans and surrounding regions during the eighteenth century, including the period of Spanish control and the wider upheaval connected with the Seven Years' War.

Liberation was first released for the PlayStation Vita in 2012 and later received versions for other platforms. A distinctive feature of its design is Aveline's use of different disguises, each providing different abilities and social access.

Aveline is not the same character as Evie Frye, who appears in Assassin's Creed Syndicate, or Aya, who appears in Assassin's Creed Origins. Shao Jun is another female Assassin, but her story is set in sixteenth-century China.
