What is the name of the first episode of Season 2 of The Boys?

The first episode of Season 2 of The Boys is titled “The Big Ride.” It is also the series’ ninth episode overall, continuing the story after the Season 1 finale left the Boys scattered and wanted.

The episode follows Hughie, Mother's Milk, Frenchie, and Kimiko as they deal with a Supe terrorist while hiding from the authorities. Billy Butcher is absent, creating tension within the group. At Vought, Homelander faces a new threat to his authority when Stan Edgar introduces Stormfront to The Seven.

“The Big Ride” was written by showrunner Eric Kripke and directed by Phil Sgriccia. Its title is drawn from the comic-book source material, specifically issues #56–59 and the ninth volume. The episode premiered on Amazon Prime Video on September 4, 2020, alongside the next two Season 2 episodes.

A common mix-up is confusing this title with “The Bloody Doors Off,” which is the fourth episode of Season 2, or “Nothing Like It in the World,” the season finale.
