What is the name of the first area explored in Pokémon Pokopia?

The first area explored in Pokémon Pokopia is the Withered Wasteland.

Ditto awakens in this barren region at the start of the game. The area has withered vegetation and dried-up water, establishing the damaged condition of the world that the player must help restore.

The Withered Wasteland is also where Ditto meets Tangrowth, the Pokémon who becomes known as Professor Tangrowth. This encounter introduces the central rebuilding mission and begins the process of attracting Pokémon back to the area.

Pokopia later expands into other major locations, including Bleak Beach, Rocky Ridges, Sparkling Skylands, and Palette Town. Because these names describe prominent destinations, they are common mix-ups for the opening area.
