The fat mouse in Disney’s Cinderella is named Gus.
Gus, whose full name is Gus Gus, is one of Cinderella’s most prominent mouse friends. He is portrayed as round, hungry, enthusiastic, and easily confused, creating comic moments while still helping Cinderella resist her stepmother’s control. His excitement is especially clear when he tries to help with food and clothing.
Gus is often confused with Jaq, the slimmer and more resourceful mouse who frequently leads the household’s rescue efforts. Suzy is another mouse character, but she is not the fat mouse. Together, Gus, Jaq, and the other animals secretly repair Cinderella’s dress before the stepsisters tear it apart.
During the Fairy Godmother’s magic, Gus and the other mice become horses for Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage. Their transformation allows the animals to participate directly in getting Cinderella to the ball before the spell expires at midnight.
