What is the name of the Elvish refuge where Frodo recovers in J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings?

The story behind the answer

Rivendell is the Elvish refuge where Frodo recovers in J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings.

Rivendell, also called Imladris in Sindarin, is founded and ruled by Elrond. It lies in a hidden valley east of the Misty Mountains and serves as a sanctuary for Elves and their allies. Frodo reaches it after being wounded by the Witch-king at Weathertop and is healed there by Elrond.

The house of Elrond becomes the setting for the Council of Elrond. Representatives of several peoples discuss the threat posed by the One Ring, and the council decides that the Ring must be destroyed rather than used against Sauron. The Fellowship then departs from Rivendell.

Rivendell is not the same place as Lothlórien, the forest realm ruled by Galadriel and Celeborn. Gondolin is an earlier hidden Elven city from the First Age, while Eregion was an Elven land associated with the forging of the Rings of Power.
