The electrically powerless Pikachu in Pokémon Pokopia is called Peakychu.
Peakychu is a special Pokémon character encountered during the story. Unlike an ordinary Pikachu, Peakychu has lost the ability to generate electricity, making the character’s name and role distinct within Pokopia’s cast.
Pokopia includes several unusual versions or named personalities based on familiar Pokémon. Mosslax is a Snorlax covered with moss, Smearguru is an exceptionally talented Smeargle, and DJ Rotom possesses a stereo system. These names identify characters rather than introducing entirely new Pokémon species.
Peakychu can be confused with Pikachu itself because the character retains Pikachu’s species identity. The crucial distinction is that Peakychu is the named, electrically powerless Pikachu found in Pokopia’s story.
