Ikaros is the eagle companion used by Kassandra and Alexios in Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
Ikaros helps the player survey locations from above, mark enemies, identify resources, and reveal points of interest. The eagle is tied to the protagonist's family and accompanies the playable character throughout the ancient Greek adventure.
Assassin's Creed Odyssey is set during the Peloponnesian War in the fifth century BCE. Its world includes mainland Greece and numerous Aegean islands, and its branching dialogue system allows the player to choose either Kassandra or Alexios as the protagonist. Ikaros' name remains the same regardless of that choice.
The companion is often mixed up with birds from other games. Senu belongs to Bayek in Origins, and Synin belongs to Eivor in Valhalla. Huginn and Muninn are associated with Valhalla's Norse imagery, not Odyssey's ancient Greek setting.
