The Ditto-like Pikachu character in Pokémon Pokopia is named Peakychu.
Peakychu is a special Pikachu encountered during the game’s story. Unlike an ordinary Pikachu, Peakychu has lost the ability to generate electricity, making the character part of Pokopia’s wider collection of unusual Pokémon residents.
The name can be mistaken for Pikachu itself, the standard species name, or for other story characters such as Professor Tangrowth, Smearguru, and Mosslax. Peakychu is a named character, not a new evolution or a separate species in the main Pokémon taxonomy.
Pokopia gives several familiar Pokémon distinctive identities and circumstances. These characters help express the game’s emphasis on community and recovery, since restoring habitats and helping residents is more important than defeating them in conventional battles.
