What is the name of the dinosaur island featured in Jurassic Park III?
Answer
Isla Sorna
Answer
Isla Sorna
Isla Sorna is the dinosaur island featured in Jurassic Park III.
Also called Site B, Isla Sorna is the island where InGen bred and raised dinosaurs before moving selected animals to Isla Nublar for Jurassic Park. Jurassic Park III takes place largely on Isla Sorna, as Alan Grant and the Kirby family search for their missing son.
The island was introduced in The Lost World: Jurassic Park, where it serves as the setting for much of the expedition and the later San Diego plot. It is distinct from Isla Nublar, the location of the original Jurassic Park and the operational Jurassic World resort.
The two islands are easy to mix up because both belong to the fictional Las Cinco Muertes island group. Isla Sorna is specifically associated with InGen’s breeding and production facilities, while Isla Nublar hosted the visitor parks.
