Answer
Till We Have Faces
Till We Have Faces is the C.S. Lewis novel set in the fictional land of Glome.
Published in 1956, the novel retells the ancient myth of Cupid and Psyche through the perspective of Orual, a princess and later queen of Glome. Its setting and narration give the classical story a darker, psychologically complex form.
The book was Lewis’s final novel and is often regarded as one of his most mature works of fiction. It examines love, jealousy, identity, accusation, and the difficulty of seeing oneself honestly.
The title comes from the novel’s concern with human beings becoming fully known and fully themselves. It is not part of the Chronicles of Narnia, and Glome should not be confused with Lewis’s invented planetary settings in the Space Trilogy.
