What is the name of the Canadian television version of the investment format known in Britain as Dragon's Den?

The story behind the answer

The Canadian television version of the investment format known in Britain as Dragon's Den is called Dragons' Den.

The Canadian series premiered in 2006 on CBC Television. It follows entrepreneurs who pitch businesses to a panel of wealthy investors, known in Canada as dragons, seeking financing in exchange for equity or another negotiated stake.

The title is nearly identical to the British programme, but the shows are separate national productions with different presenters, investors and entrepreneurs. The Canadian version was hosted by Dianne Buckner for much of its run, while prominent Canadian dragons included Kevin O'Leary, Jim Treliving and Arlene Dickinson.

The American adaptation is called Shark Tank, which is why international viewers sometimes give the wrong title. Money Tigers is the Japanese programme that inspired the wider format, not the Canadian title.
