BBC Studios is the production company credited with making the British television series Dragon's Den.
The programme is a BBC production built around entrepreneurs pitching to investors for business funding. BBC Studios is the BBC's commercial production and distribution arm, and its credits cover a wide range of factual, entertainment and scripted programming.
Production-company credits can be confused with the broadcaster. BBC Two was the original British channel for the series, while BBC Studios is the organisation involved in producing and commercially handling programmes. Those are related but different roles.
The format itself was not invented in Britain: Dragon's Den is adapted from the Japanese business reality programme Money Tigers. The British production uses its own presenter, filming, edit and investor panel while retaining the core pitch format.
