The protagonists of Assassin's Creed Syndicate belong to the Frye family.
Jacob and Evie Frye are twin Assassins who travel from Crawley to London in 1868. They oppose Templar control and criminal exploitation during the Industrial Revolution. Jacob tends toward direct action, while Evie often emphasizes investigation, stealth, and the search for an Isu artifact.
The game presents Victorian London through several districts, including Westminster, the City of London, Southwark, Lambeth, and Whitechapel. The twins recruit allies and build the Rooks, a street gang that helps challenge the Blighters, a rival gang connected to the Templars.
Syndicate was released in 2015. It is notable for making two related protagonists central to the campaign and for allowing players to switch between Jacob and Evie in many activities. Their surname distinguishes them from the Kenways, Auditore family, and other major Assassin lineages.
