What is the name of the Assassin’s Creed protagonist who founded the Hidden Ones?

Bayek of Siwa is the Assassin’s Creed protagonist who founded the Hidden Ones.

Bayek is a Medjay from the Siwa Oasis and the central playable character in Assassin’s Creed Origins. He and his wife, Aya, help establish the Hidden Ones, the organization that later develops into the Assassin Brotherhood. Their effort grows out of a personal tragedy and a campaign against the Order of the Ancients.

Origins is set in Ptolemaic Egypt and explores the political tensions surrounding rulers such as Cleopatra and Ptolemy XIII. Bayek’s Medjay role gives him a connection to local communities, law enforcement, and traditional Egyptian society.

Amunet is an important historical figure in the game’s broader lore and is associated with Aya, but she is not Bayek’s playable identity. Kassandra belongs to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, while Aya is Bayek’s partner and a major character.
