Ratonhnhaké:ton is the Assassin's Creed protagonist who becomes the main series' first playable Native American hero.
Known publicly as Connor, Ratonhnhaké:ton is the central historical character of Assassin's Creed III. He is of Kanien'kehá:ka heritage through his mother, and he becomes involved in the American Revolution while pursuing the Templars who threaten his community.
The game presents both names because Connor is the name he uses in colonial society, while Ratonhnhaké:ton is his Kanien'kehá:ka name. He is trained by Achilles Davenport and joins the Assassin cause during the eighteenth-century conflict.
He is the son of Haytham Kenway and the grandson of Edward Kenway, linking Assassin's Creed III directly to Black Flag's family story. Desmond is the modern-day protagonist, while Altaïr belongs to the first game and Shay Cormac is the lead of Rogue.
