What is the name of the Assassin's Creed protagonist from eighteenth-century New Orleans?

The story behind the answer

The Assassin's Creed protagonist from eighteenth-century New Orleans is Aveline de Grandpré.

Aveline is the central character of Assassin's Creed III: Liberation, which is set mainly in Louisiana between 1765 and 1780. She is the daughter of a wealthy French merchant and a Creole woman, and she joins the Assassin Brotherhood while opposing Templar activity and the exploitation of enslaved people.

Liberation gives Aveline three disguises: an Assassin outfit, a lady outfit, and a slave outfit. Each changes how she moves through society and which activities she can perform. This disguise system is a defining feature of the game and reflects the social divisions of its setting.

Aveline first appeared in the PlayStation Vita version of Liberation. She should not be confused with Elise de la Serre, a Templar character in Unity, or Shao Jun, the protagonist of Chronicles: China.
