Assassin’s Creed Rogue
Answer
Assassin’s Creed Rogue
Assassin’s Creed Rogue is the game starring former Assassin Shay Patrick Cormac.
Released in 2014, Rogue follows Shay, an Assassin who becomes disillusioned with the Brotherhood after a disastrous mission involving an ancient Precursor site. He later joins the Templars and hunts his former allies, making him the first main playable protagonist in the series to openly change sides in this way.
The game is set during the Seven Years’ War and includes the North Atlantic, the Appalachian frontier, and New York City. Its naval mechanics build on those of Black Flag, while its story connects directly to Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed Unity.
Shay is not the same character as Arno Dorian, the protagonist of Unity. Rogue also should not be confused with a simple alternate ending: it is a full standalone campaign centered on Shay’s ideological reversal.
