Answer
Assassin's Creed Mirage
Assassin's Creed Mirage is the game set mainly in ninth-century Baghdad and starring Basim. It follows Basim Ibn Ishaq as he develops from a street thief into a member of the Hidden Ones.
Mirage is set in 861 CE, during the Islamic Golden Age, and focuses heavily on Baghdad's districts, institutions, and historical atmosphere. Basim trains under Roshan and works with the Hidden Ones while investigating a secret organization connected to the wider Assassin-Templar conflict.
The game was released in 2023. Its design places greater emphasis on stealth, parkour, investigations, and targeted assassinations than the large-scale role-playing structure of Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. Mirage is also a narrative prequel to Valhalla: Basim appears in both games, but Mirage depicts the earlier part of his life and explains more about his origins.
